A year ago, CLAAS launched the new ROLLANT 630 RC fixed-chamber round baler. With a chamber diameter of 1.25 m and a 25-knife cutting unit, it is positioned above the ROLLANT 520 and stands out not only for its higher performance but also for greater operator comfort and lower operating costs, thanks to its reinforced design and optimised ease of maintenance for drive components subject to the highest load. Key features include the cutting unit with a ROTO CUT heavy duty rotor and 25 knives for a theoretical length of cut of 44 mm, the PRO cutting frame, the MAXIMUM PRESSURE SYSTEM II with a swivelling 3-roller segment for uncompromising bale formation, and the high-performance, maintenance-optimised, 5-row MULTIFLOW HD pick-up with a 10 per cent higher rotational speed and ground-protecting, low-resistance tyres up to 1.10 m in diameter.
Following on from the ROLLANT 630 RC UNIWRAP, the solo variant, the ROLLANT 630 RC, is now also available as a COMFORT version with an optional binding system for net and film. When baling silage bales, the binding film ensures bales retain their shape better and are easier to open and unwrap later during feeding. Furthermore, once used the film can be disposed of together with the wrapping film.
For baling hay and straw, the ROLLANT 630 RC can be easily changed to net binding by swapping the film roll for a net roll – the net allows the bale to ‘breathe’ even on the wrapping side and holds even the driest forage together permanently and reliably. Furthermore, the bale net is not damaged by stubble or hard stalks.
